LA Premier League : League History

OUR HISTORY
In October of 2002, there were three storied local men’s soccer teams that practiced at the Crossroads School field in sunny Santa Monica, California. They were Avanti FC, Tsunami SC (now O'Brien's FC), and the Santa Monica Eagles. They came together with the goal of founding a West Los Angeles over-30 league that would be non-profit and place a high priority on contests with excellent sportsmanship.
The inaugural season “LAPL I” began with Avanti FC, Tsunami SC, the Santa Monica Eagles, and FC United Nations. The league expanded to five teams the next season, eight teams by LAPL III, ten teams by Season XI, and now to its current twelve team format.
